Umm, I've seen the anime and read some of the manga. .... Why is Himawari considered bad luck to him when she loves him and he loves her? Not fair! He ends up alone, and leaves Yuko's shop when she returns from being 'dead' or something. ...... How does she bare his scars? What does that mean?
Well, as I've only read the manga, I'm not entirely sure I can explain where the anime may have differed, but here goes.
We were basically given to understand that Himiwari was simply born a carrier of bad luck, and that unfortunate things tend to happen to those around her.
I don't know about Watanuki leaving the shop or Yuko coming back; those things didn't happen in the manga...
Himiwari bares Watanuki's scars as a price that she and Domeki paid (Domeki paid in blood) to Yuko to save Watanuki's life after he had fallen out a window due to Himawari's 'bad luck' thing.
They don't end up together, no, but I think the romance is no less compelling or real.

Watanuki left, I think in Tsubasa which is linked to xxxHolic. Awww. That's so sad. Thanks for telling me this. I'm sure there is love between Himawari and Watanuki. 
Is that in the Tsubasa anime? Because I don't recall him leaving the shop in the Tsubasa manga... unless you mean when he and Syaoran were trapped in that place and had to make the deal that Watanuki had to stay in one place and Syaoran had to keep traveling. But after that, Watanuki wouldn't have left the shop, due to the aforementioned deal, until such a time as that reference he made near the end to the idea that one day his powers would be enough that he could leave came to pass. Unless of course, it's different in the anime, I really don't know.
